Description

Join us for a guided tour of the Boise WaterShed. Their mission is to increase water and climate change awareness and inspire action by teaching people of all ages how to protect and conserve our precious natural resources for future generations. The first hour of the tour will allow us to view the recent transformation into the nation's first water and climate education center, with exhibits, tours, programs, and art, all designed to educate and engage residents on the importance of Boise’s Water Renewal Services. (The campus has the largest concentration of public art in Idaho.) The second half of the tour will focus on the process of water renewal, how the City of Boise cleans your used water (sewage), and the key role the utility plays in protecting human health, ensuring clean water for our community and environment.

This outdoor walking tour will take place rain or shine. The tour is 1 mile round trip. The WaterShed will provide hard hats for every participant, which is required for safety. Closed toe shoes are required.

This is a members-only event and space is limited. If you’re not yet a member, now is the perfect time to join and take advantage of unique opportunities like this to connect and engage with City Club!
