City Club Forum - Ballot Initiatives in Idaho: Past, Present, and Future
For over a century, Idaho citizens have used the ballot initiative process to make their own laws. Citizen-led initiatives were responsible for expanding healthcare coverage, securing property tax relief, creating the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, and much more.
How does the ballot initiative process work? What do Idaho citizens think of it? Should the initiative rights of Idaho citizens be restricted; or should those rights be expanded? The upcoming forum will give the community a chance to learn about the past, present, and future of Idaho’s ballot initiative process.
