Description

Warhawk Air Museum Tour

The Warhawk Air Museum in Nampa was established in 1989 as a place to preserve military aviation history and educate future generations about American Veterans and their contributions to the freedoms we enjoy as Americans today.  What started as a tribute to WWI and WWII Veterans has expanded to include veterans' history from the Iraq, Persian Gulf, Vietnam, Korean and Cold Wars.

Throughout the museum, donations from community members are also on display to educate future generations about national and local history. Families of local Veterans and the Veterans themselves have donated one-of-a-kind collections of uniforms, photos, medals, gear and written narratives describing battle experiences.

The museum has since become an educational destination for over 5,000 school-age children and 25,000 visitors each year.

Please join other City Club members and guests for this private tour of the Warhawk Air Museum. This would be a great way to extend your commemoration of Veteran’s Day. The tour will be conducted by a docent, with an overview of the history of the museum and collections. Following the talk, attendees will be able to browse collections at their own pace.

Event date: November 16, 2021. Meet at the Warhawk Air Museum at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
