Late last winter, the City of Boise completed its Boise Pathways Master Plan, which identifies safe, reliable, off-street walking and biking pathways throughout the city. This plan is designed to increase connectivity and allow people to navigate neighborhoods without depending on vehicles. The City Council unanimously approved the plan in early February.
This network will bring together a total of 110 miles of new pathways, in addition to the 50 miles of existing pathways, putting the majority of Boise residents within half-mile of an existing or new pathway.
The Pathways Master Plan was a collaborative effort between the City of Boise and multiple agencies and stakeholders.
Join us to learn how this Master Plan will build onto one of Boise’s most treasured assets, the Boise River Greenbelt with presentations from:
Sara Arkle, City of Boise Parks and Recreation Department Resource Superintendent
Jimmy Halliburton, Boise City Council Member
Alexis Pickering, Ada County Highway District Commissioner and Vice President of the District, as well as board member of Valley Regional Transit
Eric Willadsen, Sierra Club’s Campaign Representative, Clean Transportation for All
